Well I am finally in Germany.  It was a long trip..I sat by two guys who were making out the whole time. The seats were very narrow and I would have to move over to allow for their fun.  It didn't embarrass me or anything.. just uncomfortable as far as space.
I arrived to a waiting sweetheart with a rose for me.. a big hug and a wonderful kiss.  It truly was wonderful seeing his loving face once again, and knowing I would be seeing it everyday.
He had to keep me awake so I would be able to adjust to the time difference, however by 7PM I could not stay awake much longer.
It was difficult saying by to my children and grandchildren.
Well this is a new adventure in my life... a new book to write and new memories to make..
I'll keep you posted.

Saying goodbye to yesterday

Today I have chosen to say goodbye to yesterday.  I own a house that I have not lived in for a few years.  This house was built in 1850, it has 8 bedrooms, living room, parlor, den, two kitchens, 3 1/2 baths, full basement.  When I moved away I turned it into a duplex, rented half and stored my 27 years of traveling and collecting belongings (from my previous marriage) in the other half.  I have held onto this house with the belongings and continued to throw money into its upkeep.  Tonight I decided that I would no longer be married to this house and the items it has held stored away.

I have opened the half that has stored my things and have told my family and friends to go there, take what ever they desire and what they do not want to pack and give to charity.  I am not going there myself in fear that once I arrive I will be pulled into the memories those items have held for me and not be able to part with them.  So the Polish Pottery will leave, the German Chrystal, the Dali, Silva and other art pieces.. the collection of albums and 45's... The Kaiser Porceline for 24 with all serving pieces.. the furs, the gowns and everything that held a different time and a different life for me.. The Baldwin Piano, the dolies, the quilts and collection of Emmet the /Clown, lladros and more... oh so much more 17 thousand pounds more...

Once this is all cleared away I will sell the house and say goodbye to yesterday forever... and sit quietly in my one room cabin up here on this mountain.. and smile... with bittersweet memories of what once was beautiful...

Bright and Beautiful Blessings to all

It has been raining on this mountain for days and days.. the ground is so saturated, I walk and all I hear is squish, squish, squish.. I've taken some pics of the creek that has formed going down the graveled road.  I believe the water is an over flow of the pound at the top of the mountain.  It is a well stocked pond with bass, perch, trout, sunfish and other kinds of water life.  In the summer I fished on the pond and so did a local bear.
It is hunting season up here and every now and again I hear the sound of rifles shots.. since the deer are running and the turkeys have decided this is a good place to live... *how sad is that*...
I have to make a trek to the City today because my nephew is very, very ill and has been admitted to the hospital.. I don't want to leave the mountain today.. I just want to hear the pelting of the rain on the roof top of my cabin and sit warm and cozy near the fireplace.  But boots and jacket I will put on.. get on board my apple red truck, but it in 4W drive and leave the mountain behind for the day.  I will return tomorrow, hopefully the sun will shine on "Sun Songs Haven"
Have a beautiful weekend all of you
Bright and Beautiful Blessings
Chel
